The SOF will be virtual from May 6 to 9

From Friday, May 6 for 72 hours, the Virtual Semaine Olympique Française will be contested on Virtual Regatta Inshore. For the second year running, players will compete virtually on the same body of water as the sailors did this week in the bay of Hyères, in the Toulon Provence Méditerranée area. The “Blue” competition starts on Friday, May 6 at 4pm

Over the 72 hours, virtual players will be able to compete in a maximum of 36 races. The ranking will be determined on the basis of the 8 best races in a row during this period. It is a very open challenge since there will be a different boats every 24 hours, so that everyone can choose their speciality or play together.

A "blue" challenge award will be given by World Sailing, which will allow the top three to directly qualify for the play-off of the Virtual World Championship. It is a great opportunity and the French Sailing Federation are extending it by giving the first four French people to finish entry to the semi-finals of the French E-sailing championship 2022. And, by offering the top 10 real-life competitors of the SOF 2022, who are participating in the virtual challenge, a free registration for the SOF 2023.
